There are dents on the side of the guitar on the lower bout treble side as well. There are a couple of significant dings in the headstock as well as the face of the guitar on the lower bout on the treble side. The guitar is missing the original endpin.
The tuner buttons have been replaced but that's it! No headstock breaks, re-frets or neck resets to be found. Chords are nice and fat and single notes sound round and mellow. The pickup is nice and warm sounding, yet articulate. The neck feels nice and comfortable it fills the palm of the hand nicely without ever feeling too big. Seriously, it's rare to find one of these in this kind of shape, even rarer to find one that plays! Comes with the original Gibson case. This instrument was purchased in the 70's by the previous owner and has been a case queen ever since.
This 1948 Gibson ES-125 is in incredible shape given its age.
